trying to boot our physical Windows disk in QEMU

we have a spinny Windows thing but it seems to be hanging

eh? *raises eyebrow*

"you have a security vulnerability on your website! it's, uh... your git directory being accessible publicly. Now please pay me in cryptocurrency."

(...how'd they get "frost@" for the email address?)

Once we have a job, I want this watch.
invictawatch.com/watches/detai

It's a diver! It's a chronograph! It's a combination diver chronograph! And it's REALLY PRETTY!

(And also about $100.)

@certifiedperson hey have you SEEN OUR NEW WATCH

they sent us the wrong one but holy fuck it's beautiful

(unfortunately the chronograph [stopwatch] part is functionally useless as it only goes up to a minute, which is why we ordered the other one. But wow. Those looks.)

(I think I'm gonna keep this, and if they ask us to send it back to send us the proper one, I dunno maybe just buy again and hope they send us the right one that time. But shipping to China is expensive anyway, so maybe they won't even ask for that.)

... okay, presented with comment, and the comment is "LOOK AT HIM"

oh hey @astra you know how I mentioned wanting a motorcycle offpaw? this is the one I want :3
kawasaki.com/en-us/motorcycle/

It's like $5800 new (before taxes and fees...) which is cheaper than just about ANY car, even USED.

And I /really/ love the white and the "just drove out of an anime" look. :3

Not that we have the money... but apparently part-time clerky jobs exist, and that sounds doable!!

oh gods KDiff3 looks so bad.

I guess it must not be really maintained. Clearly it's built for light theme with no consideration of dark theme at all (and what's with the hard-to-see colored toolbar icons?).

Hot take: The email workflow for git is VASTLY overrated.

Sending your patch over email means that you're not the one who's registered as the committer, and that's not great. Let me commit and then you /pull from us./ It doesn't have to be a web-PR-based workflow, but /pull/ the changes, don't send them through patch files that WILL mess up things like attribution (to an extent; you're still recorded as the author), dates, and commit hashes.

Yes, we just tested this and it does mess up the committer information (by design; that's presumably what the separate committer information is for in the first place) and it DOES mess up the hash.

Hey @certifiedperson, check out this really cool ghost horse mural we saw the other day!

[excuse the bad panorama stitching]
[also don't just look at the 16:9 crop, it is WIDE!]

hey @certifiedperson, we got a new watch a few days ago! :3

I saw it at the store and couldn't pass it up. >,,>

(picture is from the day we got it, Oct 9 apparently)
(... our time, so probably the 10th for you)
